Lexar has launched the Professional SILVER GO microSDXC UHS-I, a memory card designed for videographers, gamers and creators who use portable devices with microSD slots and need fast, reliable storage.
The card reaches read speeds of up to 250 MB/s and write speeds of up to 180 MB/s. Its V30 rating ensures continuous 4K at 60 fps recording, a requirement that often decides whether a drone or action cam can finish a shot without dropping frames.
The card is built for outdoor use. According to the launch details, it carries an IPX7 water resistance rating, meaning it can withstand temporary immersion, and it is durable against shocks and harsh conditions. The format also works in handheld consoles and gaming devices with microSD slots.
The launch fits into Lexar's line of cards for portable devices. A few months ago the company unveiled the Lexar Muse, a 3.8 mm SSD that drops the USB-C port, confirming a focus on mobility. In the same family sits the SILVER PLUS, with speeds up to 255 MB/s and capacities up to 2 TB, which the company markets for drones, action cams and consoles.
The SILVER GO is available now on the Lexar website and major online retailers, including Amazon. In Japan it is distributed by a local partner and sold on Rakuten and Yahoo! Shopping.
