Connectivity and Gaming Performance

The Vivo Buds are among the first affordable options to integrate Bluetooth 6.1, featuring Dual-Channel Transmission 2.0 and a range of up to 10 meters. For gamers, the earbuds offer a low-latency mode that reduces delay to 42ms when paired with compatible Vivo and iQOO smartphones. The device also supports multipoint connectivity, allowing users to stay connected to two devices simultaneously.

Audio Architecture and Customization

The hardware is based on 10mm high-resolution dynamic drivers utilizing a PU and PEEK diaphragm. To refine the output, Vivo has implemented DeepX 4.0 sound effects, which include dedicated modes for Mega Bass, Clear Voice, Clear High Pitch, and Audiobooks. Users can further personalize their experience via a 10-band equalizer. For those using compatible Vivo or iQOO devices, the earbuds support Spatial Audio with four distinct environment presets: Theatre, Concert Hall, Studio, and Live Concert.

Battery Life and Durability

The most significant technical highlight is the autonomy. Each earbud houses a 53mAh battery providing up to 12 hours of music playback, while the 525mAh charging case extends the total playback time to 50 hours. Fast charging is supported, with a 10-minute charge delivering up to four hours of playback.

Designed for daily use, the earbuds weigh 3.8g each and carry an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance. Additional ecosystem features include Google Fast Pair, a "Find My Vivo Buds" function, and remote camera control for compatible smartphones.

While the budget audio market has recently seen aggressive moves from brands like Edifier with its long-lasting W800NB, Vivo's strategy focuses on deep integration with its own smartphone ecosystem to justify the low price point.
