Baldur's Gate 3 has sold around 23.2 million copies across all platforms, with revenue estimated at more than $1.2 billion, according to new data from Alinea Analytics. The RPG from Larian Studios keeps growing more than three years after its August 2023 launch.
Steam accounts for most of the sales, with about 18.7 million copies, or 80.6% of the total. The PS5 version has sold 2.9 million copies and the Xbox version 1.6 million, according to the same estimates.

The most striking figure concerns player activity. Monthly active users have never dropped below 2 million across all platforms, and last month reached about 2.2 million, with Steam still in first place. Daily, the game reportedly draws between 280,000 and 400,000 players.
Another number underlines how long players stay: about 1% of the base, just under 200,000 people, has logged more than 500 hours.

The road to these figures started well before the official launch. By September 2025 sales had already passed 15 million copies, and the game had earned its reputation during early access, as Larian CEO Swen Vincke had noted.
The growth fits a wider picture: Steam recently set new records for concurrent users, and the platform remains the main channel for this kind of RPG.
