Huawei has launched the Pura 90 Plus in China, the only model in the Pura 90 family with a curved metal frame. It is also the first phone to use the Kirin 9025 chip, positioned around comfort in the hand and battery life rather than the very top of the range.
Design and display
While the rest of the Pura 90 line has flat edges, the Plus returns to a curved metal frame that Huawei says feels better and grips more securely. It comes in four colours: Obsidian Black, Snow White, Sunset Purple and Dawn Gold.

The screen is a 6.8-inch LTPO panel with curves on all four sides and a 2848 x 1276 resolution. The refresh rate adapts between 1 and 120Hz, with 1440Hz PWM dimming and 300Hz touch sampling.
Processor and software
The Kirin 9025 is the heart of the phone. Huawei claims combined hardware, software, chipset and cloud optimisations lift overall performance by 19%. The phone runs HarmonyOS 7 and includes Super Storage, which on the 1TB model can free up to 110GB.
Cameras
The 50MP main sensor uses a 1-inch format with a variable aperture from f/1.6 to f/4.0 and optical stabilisation. It is joined by a 48MP macro telephoto with f/2.1 and optical stabilisation, a 40MP ultra-wide at f/2.2 and a 1.5MP multispectral sensor. Software covers portrait, landscape and night modes, plus assisted composition tools.
