Sony has announced the Prism Collection, a line of PS5 accessories with see-through DualSense controllers and console covers that let parts of the internal components show through.
The DualSense controllers have a high-gloss clear finish across the back, so players can glimpse the technology inside the pad. The console covers come in the same three colours, but they go over the outside of the console and do not show its internals. Sony presents them as a match for the controller.

According to the official PlayStation Blog post, the project came from the design teams' interest in bringing a transparent look to PS5 and giving players a closer view of the craftsmanship behind DualSense and the console. A company representative said the aim was to bring back the see-through trend of the late '90s in a fresh, modern way.
The DualSense Prism controllers cost $84.99, and the console covers $74.99. Preorders open on November 10 through the PlayStation online store and participating retailers, with availability from February 4, 2027.
The move follows a tradition Sony has used before: it first made translucent controllers during the PS1 era, and every PlayStation generation has had at least one see-through model since. Microsoft recently announced a 25th-anniversary Xbox Series X with a translucent green finish inspired by the original Xbox.
