During the latest Nintendo Indie World Showcase, held on 28 October, three release dates emerged for games heading to Xbox Game Pass. These were not entirely new announcements: two of the three titles were already known as day-one launches for the service, while the third's date had remained unclear.
The first is Witchbrook, the magical life-sim from Chucklefish that Pure Xbox describes as playable with up to four players. Announced in 2018, the game had spent years in limbo without a firm date. It will now arrive on Game Pass on 28 January 2027, releasing on PC, Nintendo Switch 1 and Switch 2.

The second is Tanuki: Pon's Summer, an adventure in which players control a lazy tanuki with a part-time job at the post office, tasked with restoring a shrine before summer ends. According to Pure Xbox, the game will be available on Game Pass at launch on 10 November 2026. Pure Xbox also notes that the release comes just a few days before GTA 6.
The third is Dumpster Gang, a cooperative sandbox for one to four players in which a gang of raccoons pulls off absurd missions. The game was announced in August as a day-one title for PC Game Pass, arriving in December. The showcase confirmed the console version, due in March 2027.
What changes for subscribers
For Game Pass followers, the interest lies mainly in the schedule: three indie titles within a few months, two with dates now fixed. Pure Xbox says it already knew all three games and their day-one status before the showcase, but that confirming the dates makes the service's planning clearer.
In total, the October Nintendo showcase featured 23 games across roughly 15 minutes, with announcements for Switch 2 and Switch.
