FromSoftware has pushed The Duskbloods, its multiplayer action game exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2, into 2027. The title was due by the end of 2026, leaving a gap in the console's final quarter.

The studio announced the change on its X account: development is at the final adjustment stage and the launch window moves to 2027. FromSoftware apologised to players who had been waiting and thanked them for their patience.

The delay is meant to finish the game's rules and balancing, work still ongoing after a network test in August 2026. The studio has not given a specific launch month.

The Duskbloods began as a small-team project for the original Switch before Nintendo steered it to Switch 2, according to gaming.net. FromSoftware president Hidetaka Miyazaki said the game does not signal a shift away from the studio's single-player focus.

The slip thins the console's 2026 lineup, which now loses one of its most anticipated titles. The game arrives in 2027, a year Switch 2 already approaches with a crowded release schedule.

The news comes as Nintendo keeps pushing the console with third-party releases, including the Ocarina of Time remake due on November 5. For now, the studio has not confirmed further dates, and the game remains open until its next official announcement.
