Xgimi has put its High Brightness Edition of the RS30 Pro projector on sale in China, available on JD.com for 7,299 yuan, or about $1,092. The main change from the standard model, launched earlier this year, is brightness: 4,500 CVIA lumens against 3,200 for the base version.
The projector uses a 0.47-inch DMD chip with DLP technology for 4K UHD resolution at 3840 × 2160 pixels. The light source is a QuaLas42 laser system with 26 laser chips. A variable iris adjusts the aperture between F/2.0 and F/5.0 depending on room lighting and on-screen content, and the device claims a native contrast ratio of 4,000:1, rising to 60,000:1 in dynamic mode.

It covers 98% of the BT.2020 colour gamut and supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR Vivid and IMAX Enhanced certification. For gaming it handles 4K at 120Hz with VRR, ALLM and AMD FreeSync Premium, and the high refresh rate reduces the rainbow effect typical of DLP projectors.
Installation is simplified by a built-in gimbal with 360-degree horizontal rotation and 135-degree vertical tilt, 1.2 to 1.5:1 optical zoom and vertical and horizontal lens shift. The Eagle-Eye 5.0 system handles automatic focus, keystone correction, screen alignment and obstacle avoidance.

Inside is a MediaTek MT9681 processor with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Ports include two HDMI 2.1, one with eARC, a USB 3.0 and a USB 2.0. Audio comes from two 12W Harman Kardon speakers, 24W in total, with Dolby Audio and DTS. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 complete the connectivity.
The projector measures 298 × 249 × 190 mm and weighs 4.9 kg, with operating noise of 28 dB or less. Xgimi also presented the HORIZON 30 series, with 4K 120Hz and up to 6,000 ISO lumens, arriving in Japan.
