OnePlus has confirmed the camera setup of the Ace 7 Pro, the most ambitious model in the new Ace 7 series, which will debut in China on October 29 at 7 PM local time. The main novelty is a 200-megapixel main sensor paired with a periscope telephoto lens offering 3.5x optical zoom, along with a set of photo samples taken with the device.
According to the company, the high-resolution sensor is meant to capture fine details even when images are enlarged, while the periscope lens is designed to improve long-range photography. It is a choice that shifts the focus of a performance-oriented gaming phone toward photography more than earlier Ace generations did.

The official samples show mountain landscapes, snow-covered peaks and portraits. The landscape images highlight distant scenery and fine textures, while the portraits show natural skin tones and the handling of light and shadow. These are examples selected by the manufacturer, so they reflect a showcase of the system's capabilities rather than an independent test.
The positioning is clear: OnePlus claims it is the only product in its reference segment to combine a 200-megapixel sensor with a periscope telephoto lens. The message is that high performance and photographic quality no longer have to be mutually exclusive, a theme the brand also pushes through statements by Li Jie, president of OnePlus China, who speaks of flagship-level imaging algorithms applied to a product in this tier.
The standard Ace 7 will share several specifications with the Pro model but differ in two key areas. According to reports, the Pro will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, while the base model may use a V-series variant. The periscope telephoto lens is expected to be missing from the standard model, which therefore will not offer the same optical zoom.
On the display side, both models are tipped to feature a flat 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED panel. The series will ship with ColorOS 17 based on Android 17 preinstalled. Together with the camera, these details will define how the lineup compares with rivals at launch.
